Four Phases of Assessment at Orange County Christian Counseling

There are four phases to psychological assessments at Orange County Christian Counseling: Interview, Testing, Analysis, and Feedback.

1. Clinical Interview: The counselor gathers personal information such as your family background, medical history (including mental issues in the family), professional career path, and answers about key points in your life. 2. Testing: An assortment of tests, ranging from easy to slightly difficult, may be given on a separate day to provide further information about you and your capabilities. The process can take some time depending upon what tests and assessments are given. While it is possible to go back to school or work, many clients claim that they are physically or mentally tired afterward. If possible, it might be better to take the day off.

If my child is the one who is assessed, what is my role in the testing process?

What should i do to prepare my child for testing?
